“To be honest I wasn’t sure how it was going go with the staff here at first, however the v-gels in small animal surgery are being used every single day. It’s like It has always been done this way and ET tubes no longer exist for cats!
It’s amazing, I converted from 0 IV anaesthetic onto inhalation anaesthetic on a draped patient in dorsal recumbancy in under 5 minutes (incl. circuit set up time!) yesterday for a simple
procedure that had turned into a nightmare.
Thank you for all you have done for us ”

My first C1 in a 1 kg kitten — anesthetized 2 days in a row for very long procedures …awesome performance by the v-gel!!!

I am a former veterinary technician based in San Diego, USA. I have not worked in a veterinary hospitalfor 15 years and so have not had the experience of working with the v-gel. However, I do appreciate the development of this product and will insist it be used with my cats, in fact I would consider purchasing my own and taking it in with my cats if they needed procedures done. It seems a very logical way to help prevent emesis, and tracheal damage. I commend the inventorand design crew!
